Donate to the Voltaire Bridge Project
Community volunteers and the City have agreed on visual improvements for the Voltaire Street Bridge which is undergoing a 75-year overhaul. We can have a graceful bridge on a key entryway to Point Loma if we raise funds to pay for it. This is a volunteer project with the PLA willing to handle the money.
Noted architect Joe Holasek of NOAA Associates has a design that creates the illusion of a suspension bridge, a fancy swooping railing with vertical rods that will be mounted next to the required chain link. Six ornamental lamp posts will provide the look the community is accustomed to seeing elsewhere on the peninsula.
We need to raise $95,000 and we already are a third of the way there. You can help, it’s easy. Just select one of the donation amounts or enter your own amount.
With the exception of any funds remaining after the project is completed, I understand that my donation is to be restricted for use only for the Voltaire Street Bridge Project.
