January 11 - Rose Garden/Submarine Memorials
The Mean Green Team performed the annual pruning of the roses at the Hugh Story Memorial Rose Garden in Liberty Station today. We also weeded the adjacent beds (eyebrows) and the Submarine Memorial plantings, and did a little tree pruning as well.
Afterwards, we walked over to Con Pane for refreshments and discussion.
January 18 - Point Loma Park
The Mean Green Team worked at Point Loma Park this sunny morning. Obviously things were quite wet from the recent rains, but we made the best of it by pulling weeds. Unfortunately there are still a lot left over so we will have to plan another outing there.
Afterwards, we went over to Peet's for refreshments and discussion.
January 25 - Nimitz West
The Mean Green Team spent this sunny morning working along the west side of Nimitz Blvd. We spent our time doing our normal activities, weeding, trimming the trees, and picking up lots of trash. We even had some help from a friendly gopher. He did an excellent job of pulling weeds down into his home. If he keeps that up, we may have to get him a Mean Green vest.
Afterwards, we went to Peet's for refreshments and discussion.
Come join us on Friday mornings.
