Alexandra Watkins leads the PLA’s Business Memberships and orchestrates our popular monthly business mixers, which have been held at our member's shops, hotels, and establishments since January 2024. These lively events bring together our vibrant community and give members an opportunity to collaborate and support each other.

Alexandra the best-selling author of Hello, My Name Is Awesome: How To Create Brand Names That Stick, which was named a Top 10 Marketing Book by Inc. Magazine. She works out of her Point Loma pool house where she runs her boutique naming firm, Eat My Words and is a frequent podcast guest, having been interviewed on more than 100 shows. Her claim to fame is that she named the Wendy's Baconator, a name so famous it has its own Wikipedia page and has been an answer on Jeopardy and the New York Times crossword.

Alexandra's wildly fun home, which she shares with everyone’s favorite handyman, Glenn “Call Glenn Again” Millar, was the fan favorite on the Point Loma Garden Walk.
