Maureen Summers

Summers returns! Maureen Summers began her latest term on the Point Loma Association Board in 2021.

A native San Diegan, Maureen settled in Point Loma in 1989. Inspired by PLA’s involvement with NTC redevelopment, she joined our Board as Secretary in 1995, and was elected to a second 4-year term in 2000.

Maureen served as a Vice-Chair (1998-99) during Hugh Story’s time leading PLA, and she inaugurated the street banner program.

Maureen Summers started her own law firm in 1991, and in ‘94, she became a full-time mediator, retiring in 2019.

In recent years she has worked with the PLA Beautification Committee and Mean Green Team. Maureen has also volunteered to be our PLA Historian – perfect for someone with her deep knowledge of the organization, and a passion to preserve our historic documents and celebrate 60+ years of community achievements.
